Blind Flanges: A solid disk used to block off a section of pipe or a nozzle on a vessel. It allows for easy access to the interior of a line once sealed and must withstand higher mechanical stress than other flange types.
Spectacle Blind Flanges: A permanent safety device machined from a single piece of metal. It fits between two flanges to provide positive isolation during maintenance, offering a clear visual indication of whether the line is open or closed.
